Purpose. The committee shall be charged with researching and exploring various opportunities for events in the City of Manvel. The committee shall be purely advisory in nature, and shall have no power to make any expenditure or enter into any contract or make any obligation on behalf of the city, except through the city purchasing process.
Board Information
Members. The City Council creates the membership of the committee as a seven (7) member committee, with two (2) alternates. The Council shall make the appointments and in making the appointments shall decide which members shall be alternates.
The committee shall attempt to meet monthly, at City Hall, at a date and time selected by the committee. As a purely advisory committee, the committee shall not be subject to the Texas Open Meetings Act.
