Purpose. The Task Force shall be charged with: 

•    Provide ideas for City Council to consider for changes to ordinances, policies, design criteria, and fees pertaining to development opportunities within the City;
•    When asked by City Council, make recommendations to the City Council and the City Manager on proposed ordinances or changes to ordinances, policies, design criteria, and fees affecting development opportunities within the City of Manvel;
•    Review the progress of current development projects occurring in the City of Manvel and solicit feedback from those developing in the City of Manvel on the current processes, procedures, and standards; and
•    Perform any other duties or task as may be assigned by the Manvel City Council.

Board Information

Members. The City Council creates the membership of the Task Force as a five (5) member entity with two (2) alternates. The Council shall make the appointments by majority vote and in making the appointments shall decide which members shall be alternates. During a meeting where an alternate is needed, the Chairman shall select which alternate(s) may sit with the Task Force and fully participate. It is recommended that the Chairman rotate the alternates if possible. Appointments to fill vacancies shall be made by the Manvel City Council and in every case shall be for the unexpired term only of the member whose position has been vacated. 

The Task Force shall attempt to meet at least three times a year, or as many more times deemed appropriate by the Task Force.
